  • Help Center For Cal 1300b (all sections):
    Mon-Tue-Wed-Thur: 4:30-6:30pm, in PA232, with the following TAs: S. M. Asaduzzaman and Jordan Dickson, for weeks 2 though week 14 except the reading week (Feb 21-25), and some more joining them in the two weeks before midterm and final exam.

    In addition to the above Help Center for this course, there is another Help Center for all all first year math courses including CAL1301b. It runs Monday through Fridays between 2:30pm-6:30pm, in MC106.

    You see, there is plenty of resources, you should make full use of them, insead of paying money to tutors.

    Extra Help available:
    On April 18, 20, 21 and 22, from 3:30-5:30pm, at MC108, there will be six TAs running this Extra Help Center
    On April 25, from 9:30am to 4:30pm, some instructors will be in MC108 offering help.

  • Final Exam: (%50):
    It covers materials up to 11.10 inclusive
    About 10% of the questions could have occured in the middle term,and they are from Chapter 9.
    Although there will be no questions directly from Chapter 7, techniques learned in Chapter may be needed to to evaluate integrals arising from problems in Chapters 9 and 10.
    As for the types and ranges of the questions in the final, the suggested problems handed out to you in the beginning of the term reflect the range of the exam problems.

    There will be six in-class quizzes (about 15 minutes for each). No make-up for the quizzes will be arranged, but I will only count the best five out of the six. The time and the contents of each quiz will be announced in advance. Solutions to each quiz will also be posted after the marked quiz is returned to class.

    Quiz 1---Friday January 14, covering Sections 7.1 and 7.2.
    Quiz 2 --- Monday January 24, covering Sections 7.3, 7.4 and 7.5.
    Quiz 3---Friday February 4, covering 7.8, 9.1, 9.3 and 9.5. Please be aware that the midterm covers up to 9.5. So, preparing for Quiz 3 is also preparing for the midterm.
    Quiz 4---Tuesday March 8, covering Sections 10.1-10.4 8.1.
    Quiz 5---Friday March 18, postponed to Monday Marh 21, covering 11.1-11.4.
    Quiz 6---Tuesday April 5, covering the rest of materials covered after Quiz 5.
