Abstract:

In this talk I will review recent progress on coarse-grained modeling of the dynamics of polymer translocation through nanoscopic pores. I will focus on the scaling behavior of the translocation time and other relevant physical quantities as a function of the properties of the chain-pore system, and various driving forces that may be used in actual translocation experiments. I will also discuss the relevance of these results to DNA and RNA sequencing.

Note: This talk will follow Matheus Graselli's Games and Options in Incomplete Markets.
