In addition to a large number of individual workstations and smaller computing clusters at departments, there are world-class high performance computing facilities available for persons doing computational research:

SharcNet:
One of Canada's leading high-performance computing networks. It has currently (mid-2007) over 8,000 processors and nearly 500TB of storage.
